Soulcalibur 6 launched in USA on March. 6 after a short delay and was released in western markets late April for PC. The Soulcalibur spin-off features a focus on single-player and mission-based modes, without competitive or online multiplayer modes.
Soulcalibur Players lose their armor as fights go on, but this is a purely aesthetic matter. It makes no difference to defensive ability.
“First, in SC6 Mitsurugi and Sophitia have become young again, in terms of timeline we will be returning to SC1 & SC2,” reveals Okubo in an interview.
Soulcalibur 6 will use the fighting game system of the most recent entry, SoulCalibur 6, but will also include a few new additions, Hoshino said. One of those is a new elemental system that will allow players to customize weapons and forge new weapons with five elements, such as wind and fire. Each weapon in Lost Swords will have an element associated with it, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Players will find those elements (and other loot) through drops when defeating enemies.
We know that developer GameSprite’s goal is to make Soul Caliur 6 feel more like the old games – so you could call this game something of a soft reboot.
Here are a few screen grabs of Ivy in her latest iteration from SC6, you’ll catch the HBTW video below.

That back-to-basics approach will probably be good news for fans of the Soul Calibur game’s core cast of characters, but bad news for fans of younger, more recent fighters like Talim and Tira. But it’s almost assured that popular mainstays like Taki, Ivy, Siegfried and Kilik will return.
When Soulcalibur 6 was revealed last night, it wasn’t immediately clear when the game was set in the fighting series’ timeline. That was definitely Soulcalibur mainstays Mitsurugi and Sophitia duking it out in the debut trailer, but considering how the series has toyed with the age of its characters, a young looking Mitsurugi wasn’t much to go on.
